Tending the Flock is a day that St. Francis gives back to the community. The staff members volunteer their time to help people and pets in need of veterinary care. Pets receive a full wellness exam, a fecal exam to check for intestinal parasites, a heartworm test (dogs), Feline Leukemia/Immunodeficiency Virus combination test (cats), and yearly vaccinations.
Canine vaccines: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Leptospirosis, Bordetella
Feline vaccines: Rabies, FVRCP, and Leukemia
Many times when pets come in for routine wellness exams, they may need more than just yearly vaccines. Some have conditions like flea allergy dermatitis (excessive itching and hair loss from flea bites) or could even benefit from a special diet. With the help of our distribution representatives, we are able to provide heartworm, flea, and tick prevention as well as other health care products including food, treats, shampoos, and ear cleaner.
The team at St. Francis loves to help and care for those in need. Make sure to follow us on Facebook for updates and scheduling for our next Tending the Flock!
